Legacy Endowment Recognizes Brenda Montiel
at Chamber of Commerce Dinner
Legacy Endowment recognized Dr. Brenda Montiel, one of the
community’s most dedicated volunteers during the recent 61st Recognition & Installation Dinner
hosted by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce at the Pala Casino Resort. The
award was presented by Juanita Mykkanen.
Dr. Montiel was selected for the Legacy Endowment Board of Directors Annual Recognition Award because of her dedication to, and volunteered hours of, the Fallbrook Music Society. Through this avenue, she has been instrumental in bringing a wealth of classical music appreciation to Fallbrook (and the surrounding communities) with a variety of musical programs geared towards children and adults alike.
Dr. Montiel is the President of the Fallbrook Music Society; an Emeritus Professor teaching World Music at Palomar College, is a managing partner in ‘Adventures in Learning’ – organizing educational tours all over the world - and is involved in many San Diego County classical music organizations.
