Phil Delaney Named 2006 Volunteer of the Year
By North County Philathropic Council Board
At a recent awards luncheon, the North County Philanthropic Council Board recognized Phil Delaney for his numerous hours of volunteer work. Phil Delaney is President of Legacy Endowment…the Community Foundation. Phil volunteers his time and services to many organizations in north county, including the Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs of North County, Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and The Fallbrook Village Association, to name a few.
Legacy Endowment manages millions of dollars for endowments from individuals and nonprofit organizations and distributes funds as per the directions of the donors. The Foundation endeavors to maximize the earnings of the funds that they are entrusted with, using the expertise of Investment Advisors Ron Hegardt, from Banc of America Investment Services, Inc., and Mary Ann Paget from Morgan Stanley. Legacy Endowment handles endowed funds primarily in North San Diego County. In addition to distributing funds to the designated beneficiaries, it has funds to distribute for the benefit of various nonprofit organizations and charitable causes.
Legacy Endowment’s Board of Directors are composed of individuals with extensive and various educational and professional backgrounds. The Board includes Phil Delaney, President of the Board and Corporate business owner, Jon C. Frandell; Manager of Morgan Stanley, Larry Williams; Attorney at Law, specializing in Corporate Law, Roy Ansell; retired in corporate marketing and a specialist in investments, Rick Windbigler; president of Fallbrook Equipment rental, Wil Gower; Retired business executive and Tina Rainey, Executive Director of Legacy Endowment.
